Coral ReefThe small country of Djibouti is located on the Horn of Africa; at the point where the Red Sea flows into the Indian Ocean. Its unique location and virtual lack of tourism has attributed to its diverse marine life and offers some of the most pristine dive sites in the area. Extensive reefs are found along the coastline and is home to not only spectacular coral, but colourful reef fish and the larger pelagic.

The plankton-rich waters along the coast of Djibouti attract a great range of different species to its waters. Whale sharks are often seen between the months of October and February, and both scuba divers and snorkellers can enjoy seeing these gentle creatures. Manta rays, dolphins, sharks and different species of whales can also be seen during these months, and present photo opportunities unlike any other.
