beach-3.jpgWhen travelling either for your vacations or a business trip there are various possibilities you should explore that will enable you to spot the best possible deals. The first rule about finding the best deals is to visit a travel agent who is either new or no one really knows about. These travel agents will usually have a promotion running in which they can offer you vacation packages at unbelievable rates. Established travel agents won’t offer you much in the way of deals and special packages.

Finding a deal online is much easier than walking into your nearest travel agent’s office. There are numerous online travel agents online who are willing to offer you as much as a 50 percent off during off season. If you look at it that is really a good deal. Other travel agents will also go as far as give you fee stuff just so that you come back. The key to finding a good deal is to visit a place that no one really knows about. The usual places such as Hawaii etc are all high traffic points especially during the peak season and chances of finding a good deal are quite slim.

ski_01.jpgSkiing is a great way to both enjoy yourself during winter as well as get your heart pumping faster that it’s usually used to. Unfortunately there aren’t many ski resorts to go around and as soon as it hits winter there are just too many people crowding up the slopes. If you are new to the sport of skiing you won’t really mind the crowd as you don’t plan on going too fast but for pros local ski resorts can be a pain and only a journey to Switzerland can really fuel their passion to own the slope. If you are planning on visiting Switzerland this winter to hit the slopes there are a few things you need to confirm. If you are going through a travel agent make sure that he knows the purpose of your visit let him know that you are looking for a place to ski and to avoid the crowds. Ask him what he would suggest as most travel agents know their way around most countries they will definitely be able to point you in the right direction. Once you have decided upon a ski resort it’s time to get yourself prepared if you haven’t skied in a while its time that you began practicing as slopes in Switzerland can be very unforgiving.

trekking1.jpgTrekking is a good way to explore and discover new things. A trek through the jungle or through a valley in an isolated part of the world is a great way to push that “I can do it” button. However if you are not well prepared a trekking expedition can turn out to be a nightmare.

Know your style

This is important as you need to first ask yourself “Do I enjoy trekking through a lush jungle or through mountains and small towns?” Once you get the answer to this question you will know exactly where to go for your trekking expedition.

Know if you can bear the trip

What distance can you cover? Are you in the right physical condition to take on such a trip? You should call and ask the company that is arranging the trekking trip about the condition and fitness level you should have for the trip. It is good to push yourself but don’t bite off more than you can chew.

Get yourself in shape

It is a good idea to start training yourself at least a month in advance. Start spending at least an hour a day in the gym working with weights as well as sweating on the treadmill. You should also start taking long walks as well as running up and down flights of stairs. Your job is to increase your agility and stamina.

1-30-02spirit2.jpgLagos, Nigeria:

This is probably not a place you should visit even if you were going to be sent there for free. Even though it is the richest city of Nigeria it is also dirty, overcrowded, dangerous, and certainly no place to enjoy your vacations.

Nevada, USA

Nevada is probably the most dangerous state in America. However for people who want to visit Las Vegas they are probably in luck because it’s one of Nevada’s less dangerous cities. You should certainly avoid visiting Nevada during the annual consumer Electronics Show in January or when there is an NBA all star game because this is when crime and arrests shoot though the roof.

Vermont, USA

If you are looking to visit lakes then Vermont shouldn’t be your choice. Even though it has over 126 lakes and rivers they are so polluted that they are hazardous. Lake Champlain is the worst. The reason these lakes are polluted is because 19 of the sates storm water drains into this lake making it one of the most polluted in America.

Galway, IrelandIf you visit Galway you can only drink bottled water primarily because the city’s water supply is contaminated by massive sewage pollution that is originating from the Corrib River. You wouldn’t expect this from a city in Ireland but unfortunately development has brought devastation to the city’s water supply.
