The Grand Canyon

The Grand Canyon in Arizona is a must-see destination when travelling through America. The impressive canyon was carved by the Colorado River over the last six million years, and is an astonishing site to behold. Located largely in the Grand Canyon National Park; visitors can spend days at a time enjoying the spectacular views of the Grand Canyon.

The Grand Canyon stretches over 277 miles long, with varying widths up to eighteen miles across. Although Grand Canyon is not the deepest canyon in the world; it is definitely the most impressive by its sheer size. There are also several historical buildings along the canyon including an old Watchtower, cabins, hotels and studios.
